This is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. I worked on this game as a generalist gameplay engineer. I played key role in bringing this game project o life. Here are some of the key contributions I made:

CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Designed and implemented networked multiplayer gameplay systems using C++ and Blueprints in Unreal Engine.

  • Developed a networked player combat system, focusing on responsiveness, replication accuracy, and scalability.

  • Implemented AI behavior logic using Unreal Engine’s Behavior Tree framework to drive NPC decision-making.

  • Extended procedural content generation systems to support advanced User-Generated Content (UGC) workflows.

  • Built UGC tools that enabled dynamic world-building and content creation within the Avalon universe.

  • Integrated art, animation, and audio assets into gameplay systems in collaboration with designers and artists.

  • Authored technical design documentation covering system architecture, workflows, and implementation details.

  • Conducted code reviews to enforce coding standards and maintain long-term codebase quality.

  • Performed debugging and bug fixing to resolve gameplay, AI, and networking issues.

  • Profiled and optimized gameplay and network performance across core systems.

  • Automated Unreal Engine build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins and Groovy scripts.

  • Facilitated cross-disciplinary coordination to align technical execution with creative goals.

  • Executed systematic playtesting to validate gameplay stability, balance, and overall player experience.
